Currently, irrigation canals demand not only high costs and construction time, but in their construction, process using traditional concrete cause a negative impact on the environment. The objective of this research is to optimize the construction system of the canal implementing the concrete canvas as the main base, to later define it as a viable system within the construction process. Also, perform the sizing of the channel through own numerical calculations for subsequent corroboration in HCanales and modeling in software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Sketchup. Optimal results were obtained in the design of the irrigation channel and in the application of the coating, achieving a design of the Puerto El Cura channel with concrete canvas 8 mm with a notorious efficiency in an area of 800m2 only with a crew of 6 operators in 120 days, optimizing time, labor and machinery costs, and environmental impacts. As a result of the research, it was possible to meet the objectives set and conclude that the concrete canvas gives better feasibility in the construction process of a channel compared to traditional concrete.
