The main objective of this research was to determine the influence of structural control to know the location of the Au-Ag mineralization in the Mascota, Protectora and Pozos Ricos veins, in Cascabamba, in which the main geological structures should be identified in addition to areas with mineralization potential The Cascabamba deposit is located to the east of the province of Contumazá where Cretaceous rocks of the Chimú formation to the North and center emerge through a regional anticline, these are intruded by tonalite and diorite to the center, later subvolcanic intrusions of dacitic and andesitic porphyry to the West and this. The methodology for carrying out this study is divided into 3 stages: pre-field, field and post-field, which consist of describing, analyzing, comparing, deducing and explaining through tables, tables, graphs, figures and photographs; the data taken in the field that are: heading or azimuth, diving, diving direction and its detailed description of folds, faults, fractures, streaks, veins and directions of structures that are in the study area, were subsequently processed and analyzed. The study area is highly sheared with an average E-O address, where three main local dextral faults were identified, in a comprehensive environment, these faults house the main veins: Pet, Protective and Rich Wells, which present surface mineralization of oxides and deep sulphides, the mineralization rose due to an inferred regional fault that was produced during the deflection of Cajamarca in the Andean tectonics where they also took advantage of the dacit-andesite subvolcanic intrusives. It was concluded that the structural control that determines the mineralization is evidenced in the dextral faults caused by compressive stresses during the Eocene in the Inca II tectonic phase, by subduction, the main stress σ1 has a NO-SE orientation.
