Thus, obtaining a total sample of 90 people over 60 years of age or older (r = -0.531; p = .000). The results indicate that there is an inverse correlation between depression and quality of life since the subjective or negative self-perception of the quality of life, which is composed of four important factors, which is the self-realization achieved, the personal conditions for functioning, the field of interpersonal relationships and occupation and finally the satisfaction of social support and necessary services significant depression symptoms, that is why it works that 68.9% of people do not present depression, 16.7% present mild depression, and 14.4% present severe depression.
