ABSTRACT The main objective of the present investigation was to improve the structural design of the Molitalia-Los Olivos factory. To carry out the research, two comparative modeling were carried out between pre-dimensioning, reinforced concrete design and structural analysis, determining that the project was oversized. The methodology applied in the present study has as a design the descriptive research, of transversal cut; likewise according to the purpose it is Applied; according to its approach it is quantitative; according to its scope it is Correlational and Correlational - Causal type, because it will describe the cause-effect relationship between the independent variable (improvement of the structural design) and the dependent variable (budget). As a result of the research, an economic saving of 32% was obtained from the project budget for the Molitalia-Los Olivos factory, obtaining project profitability; additionally, it decreased in the volume of concrete (m3), generating a saving of 24%. As well as the amount of steel rods were decreased, generating a 45% saving in the amount of steel, and as for the formwork metering, 15% was optimized. The research concludes that with the improvement of the structural design, a significant economic saving was obtained from the Molitalia-Los Olivos factory building project.
