ABSTRACT This research has been developed with the aim of identifying the commercial opportunities that Switzerland offers for cocoa roasted beans from Peru. During the course of the investigation it has been identified that Switzerland is a country with a great opportunity for the Peruvian product, having a stable country risk and steady growth in the medium - long term, and is now one of the main countries destinations cocoa beans. Switzerland is a country that although it was hit by the European crisis, it has remained constant in imports, giving its major suppliers to export security and achieving long-term growth in the market. Likewise, its trade balance with Switzerland and domestic production is analyzed, showing that it has a supply capacity and more efficient production of the product thanks to the support of various projects and government institutions. It is worth mentioning that according to the expert opinion is a product that is gradually achieving occupy a margin under agricultural exports, giving an offer to domestic and international markets. To this, it´s important to add that there are certain factors to consider for the export and importation of products from Switzerland, regulations, rules and permits that must be met so that the product reaches its destination in proper useful conditions. Finally, it is good to say that Switzerland is a growing market demand for this raw material, thanks to the quality and naturalness of cocoa grain, compliance and the benefits of trade agreements between Peru and EFTA, trade opportunities continue increasing pace of increase of a larger organization, training and compliance with domestic producers.
