The main objective of this work was to determine the relationship of the P-Delta effect in the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete buildings, Cajamarca 2021. The type of research is applied, explanatory level with a quasi-experimental design. The population was made up of all buildings greater than six floors in the city of Cajamarca, and the sample was non-probabilistic, consisting of two reinforced concrete buildings, one with 7-storey and the other with 6-level confined masonry. These buildings were modeled in the ETABS software and the main results show increases when the P-Delta effect is included; The maximum values for the indicators are: fundamental period (1.499%), basal shear (1.47%), distortion (2.019%), maximum moments (1.258%). It was determined that there is a relationship between the P-Delta effect in the seismic behavior, because these effects increase all the stresses in the structures studied, taking maximum values in building A, as they present irregularity and are taller than building B.
