Abstract: El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo desarrollar la factibilidad de Generación de energía a partir de los Residuos Sólidos Urbanos en la Provincia de Huamanga, puesto que la problemática que aqueja esta provincia con respecto a la gestión de los residuos sólidos posee muchos puntos de quiebre, pues los impactos que genera un relleno sanitario, la acumulación de residuos sólidos, la falta de espacio territorial y la baja calidad ambiental son razones importantes a tratar. Este trabajo de investigación fue netamente descriptivo, utilizando como técnica el análisis documental, como herramienta la ficha de registro y tomando como unidad de análisis a los Residuos Sólidos Urbanos de la provincia de Huamanga utilizados para la caracterización y cuantificación la capacidad calórica. Los resultados fueron, en cuanto a la Generación de energía diaria del Poder Calorífico Inferior fue de 23.1374 MW/día y la Producción de energía diaria mediante el Proceso de Incineración fue de 51.7359 MW/día. Llegando a la conclusión, de que el proyecto es factible ya que supera el Poder Calorífico Inferior de referencia, asimismo se podría recomendar implementar una plana de incineración en la provincia de Huamanga debido que tiene muchos beneficios, en mejorar la calidad de vida de los residentes como en la calidad ambiental de la provincia de Huamanga.
The objective of this research work is to develop the feasibility of Power Generation from Urban Solid Waste in the Province of Huamanga, since the problem that this province afflicts with respect to the management of solid waste has many breaking points, since the impacts generated by a sanitary landfill, the accumulation of solid waste, the lack of territorial space and the low environmental quality are important reasons to deal with. This research work was purely descriptive, using documentary analysis as a technique, the registration form as a tool and taking as a unit of analysis the Urban Solid Waste of the province of Huamanga used for the characterization and quantification of the caloric capacity. The results were, in terms of the daily energy generation of the Lower Calorific Power, it was 23.1374 MW/day and the daily energy production through the Incineration Process was 51.7359 MW/day. Concluding that the project is feasible since it exceeds the Lower Calorific Value of reference, it could also be recommended to implement an incineration plan in the province of Huamanga because it has many benefits, in improving the quality of life of residents. as in the environmental quality of the province of Huamanga.
