ABSTRACT This paper is focused on using the tools of industrial engineering processes losses nontechnical low-voltage power in Edelnor, by the service company COBRAPERÚ, this work is done through several initiatives breakdown of consumption ( low power user) SED targeting system, types of energy theft, for all these activities we have qualified technical personnel, tools and sophisticated equipment, respecting the safety and the environment. The daily work is complicated by the reason of working in hot (containment), geographical location, harsh climate (undesirables), the work commissioned by the company Edelnor is to reduce energy losses, for which we have monthly goals and annual comply. Among the goals at work it is that the company can use in all areas of industrial engineering tools in their processes and thus can detect energy theft quickly and accurately avoiding informal processes and random results. The second chapter contains the appropriate use of the tools of industrial engineering is the theoretical basis, which leads to the third chapter where the theoretical aspects described apply, beginning with the development of a tool for data collection framework, which will be the source of information the study, which then proceeds with the application of the other tools in different processes, in detecting theft of energy apply the proper tools of industrial engineering so they can be used constantly and always pointing to a continuous quality improvement and a culture of data analysis is also encouraged. Finally the thesis ends with a fourth chapter where the conclusions reached in the process of creation of the thesis and its relevant recommendations are framed.
