The present thesis evaluated the influence of dosage, percentage and type of waterproofing on absorption, permeability and compression in plastering mortars. The dosages used were of cemento:arena 1/3 and 1/4; Agua:cemento 0.5 and 0.6 and brand waterproofing additives sika and chema in presentation liquid and powder according to the technical specifications of each additive, adding also 0.3%, 0.3% more and 0.6% more additive with respect to the preferred percentage by each manufacturer. the elaboration of study samples was used to cement portland type Ico, Sandy quarries in El Milagro, Trujillo and waterproofing additives for the teacher and blasting Jaén stores drinking water. Was the characterization of the fine aggregate under the Peruvian technical standards for content of humidity (NTP 339.185), specific gravity and absorption (NTP 400.022), module of fineness and particle size analysis (NTP 400.012). Were developed cubic specimens of side 5 cm mortar, making 3 replicas for each dosage, which were drawn up and tested compression according to standard ASTM C109, in addition to test absorption ASTM C642 standard and the test of permeability or infiltration under 1701 C ASTM standard, which were tested at 28 days of curing. Through the addition of a waterproofing additive in fine sand mortars, sought to reduce the percentage of absorption of water permeability and infiltration of these and increase its resistance to compression, thus improving the ability of mortars for deal with moisture and thereby increased their durability in time. The mortar pattern achieved results of for compressive strength, absorption and permeability respectively, results corresponding to the obtained maximum, which occurred with the dosage cemento:arena 1/3 and agua:cemento 0.5; with the addition of a waterproofing additive the optimum design for the mortars was with additives of presentation in powder, of which which was obtained the best results was with the additive Chema 1 powder, being the optimal percentage of this to be added in the mixture of mortar of 0.90%, resulting in a score of , 5.6% y 0.8 𝐿/ℎ/𝑚2 , for resistance to compression, absorption and permeability showing with this an increase of 12% and a decrease of 36% and 60% respectively, for each trials respectively.
