ABSTRACT The present investigation sought to determine the relationship between work addiction and family satisfaction in administrative services of insurance companies in the city of Trujillo, Peru. The research corresponds to the descriptive correlational type, the population was constituted by a total of 92 administrators; the instruments used were the work-addiction questionnaire was elaborated by Robinson in 1995 and the family adjective satisfaction scale (ESFA) elaborated by Barraca and Lopez-Yarto in 1997. The results indicate that there is no statistically significant relationship between Addiction To the Work and the dimension Inability to Delegate with the Family Satisfaction; At the same time, a direct and highly significant relationship (p <.00) between the dimensions of Compulsive Tendencies, Control, Self-absorption and Self-evaluation of work addiction with Family Satisfaction is evidenced; On the other hand it is evident that 40.2% of the evaluated ones present a high level of work addiction and 25% of those evaluated have a low family satisfaction.
