The present work had as general objective the Development of a System of security based on the behavior (SBC) for the prevention of accidents and incidents of the Mining Company of La Libertad – Perú. The purpose of this system is to change the unsafe behavior of workers; It also seeks to improve the integrated management system by reducing incidents, accidents and injuries caused by unsafe behavior. First, a diagnosis was made of the current situation of the mine operations area. Limitations and failures will be identified from the safety management system; Thus improving the system through security-based behavior. Proposing SBC implementation procedures. As a result of the analysis, the forms will be developed, in which the conduct and behavior of the personnel of Operations will be developed, observing if it is safe or not identifying the causes of its behavior with the purpose of taking corrective measures of the same ones. Finally, it is concluded that the proposal of the behavioral safety management system (SBC) for the prevention of accidents and incidents of the mining company. Would be achieved. It would have an impact in the awareness of the personnel that would mean a saving of S/. 293,960.00 per year; going from a 0% conscientized staff to a 100% conscientization finishing the second year of implementation. The economic evaluation showed a NPV of S / 475,435.07, annual IRR of 137.19%, with a PRI of one year and two months and a B / C of 2.9, meaning an overall feasibility of the proposal.
