The susceptibility to mass slippages is affected by the conditioning variables involved, which relate to the nature of materials in the area such as slope, plant cover, soil type, physiography, Rmr, geomorphology, safety factor, permeability, rivers, faults, soil use, precipitation and sismicity. This study evaluates the susceptibility to mass landslides, located in the districts of San Juan, Jesus and Magdalena, and part of the province of Cajamarca. These conditions cause economic losses, these landslides cover the roads that communicate Cajamarca, preventing the passing of vehicles and people, this is how it becomes essential to assess the area to avoid economic and life losses, it is important to mention the limited information at the local level. The methodology applied is the GIS multicriteria spatial assessment, which consists of the weighted linear summation of the digitization of the conditioning variables that we will call Raster Map, through ArcGIS software, it is important to mention that for obtaining the representative map of the Sliding Susceptibility of the study area was considered the matrix of the Hierarchical Analytical Process (AHP) for obtaining weights of influences of each variable , which is very important to enter the data in the ArcGIS software. The results obtained indicate that According to the final map of susceptibility to landslides in the area of the san juan- Cajamarca road, 0.34 % of the area has a high vulnerability corresponding to 17.93 Ha, 26.50% have an average vulnerability of 1396.07 Ha, 49.91% have a low vulnerability corresponding to 2628.84 Ha and 23.25% have a very low vulnerability corresponding to 1224.81 Ha in the study area. Determining that the most vulnerable area belongs to the district of San Juan which has greater susceptibility to landslides according to the result obtained.
