The objective of the present study was to determine the relationship between academic stress and quality of life in students of JEC schools in the District of Contumazá. To develop the research, we had a sample of 257 subjects between the ages of 12 to 17 years. The instruments used were: the Academic Stress Inventory, created by Barraza (2006) and the Questionnaire for the Evaluation of the Quality of Life of Adolescent Students created by Gómez y Verdugo (2009). According to the results, it was found that quality of life and psychological reactions reaches rs = -. 168 evidencing an inverse relationship and a very low correlation; whereas, with the dimensions, stressors, reactions (physical, behavioral) and strategies, it did not reach statistical significance. On the other hand, between the dimension emotional well-being and reactions a relationship of rs = -. 168 is evidenced, between presence in the community and reactions a relation of rs = -. 123; between interpersonal relations and reactions a relation of rs = -. 187; finally, in the dimension of self-determination and stressors, a relation of rs = - 161. In all statistically significant relationships a minimum ratio index was reached (rs <.20). The general hypothesis is rejected because there is not sufficient evidence to prove the relationship between Quality of Life and Academic Stress or among its components.
