The objective of this research is to evaluate the adhesion of new concrete with already hardened concrete or also technically called a construction joint, the samples are subjected to bending stresses and their structural behavior is determined. The research methodology is the application of an adhesion bridge in beams at reduced scales, the parameters are defined with samples of three beams with a construction joint with an adhesion bridge, three beams with a construction joint without an adhesion bridge, and three monolithic beams. , these are subjected to flexural tests in a loading machine, and thus determine their degree of adhesion by comparing the structural behavior, the beams with a construction joint are cast in two stages, the first casting is up to two thirds of the length and after 24 hours the missing third is emptied. The analysis is comparative between the three groups of beams to make an average with the most representative results determined by the normal distribution. Once the laboratory tests have been carried out, it is determined that for the beams with a construction joint with an adhesion bridge, it has a better structural behavior compared to monolithic beams, and a better adhesion of the construction joint than the beams without an adhesion bridge. And for this reason it is concluded that the evaluation of the beams with a construction joint with an adhesion bridge results in an optimal and safe adherence against joints without treatment.
