This thesis analyzes the influence of television advertising on the behavior of consumer’s behavor of sweets in children from 9 to 12 years of age in the Trujillo city, through the application of a survey applied to the same population with that age range. The purpose of the survey is to: Determine the influence of television advertising on the consumption habits of sweets in children between 9 and 12 years old in the Trujillo city in 2017, determine and characterize the factors of television advertising’s influence, determine the factors of the consumption behavior of sweets between children between 9 and 12 years, quantify the most outstanding attributes of television advertising’s factors that allow or facilitate the consumption decision in the selected target. This investigation of Applied type, had a design of non-experimental, correlational research, whose sample object of study, consisted of 385 consumers, to whom a questionnaire that collects the information of the 2 variables is applied. Finally, we conclude that the influence exerted by advertising on the purchasing behavior of consumers of sweets in children on the Trujillo city for the year 2017 is positive with a high level of correlation, measured by the Pearson coefficient of 0.77. When analyzing the significance, we see that it is 8.63E-78, that is, less than 0.05, which validates the assumed research hypothesis in which La Publicidad is related to consumer behavior.
