The main objective of this research work is to determine the seismic behavior of a reinforced concrete building of a three-level commercial premises with a semi-hanging system. The study was carried out in the city of Trujillo, La Libertad region in the year 2020, with the purpose of developing new construction technologies and structural systems capable of supporting as much as possible during an earthquake. The importance of this research lies in the possibility of predicting the behavior of a structure with a semi-hanging system against the minimal coniserations of the E0.30 “Seismic-resistant Design” standard which, in comparison with the system provided, this system insulates rigid diagrams, having less damage at the time of an earthquake. This system allows structural design engineers to have greater free lights and less structural damage, thus helping to meet the objective of safeguarding the physical integrity of people and reducing economic losses resulting from an earthquake. The main result that was obtained from the investigation was that the seismic behavior of the semi-hanging structure for a three-level commercial premises, in which it was determined that it has a functional operational seismic performance, giving security to the occupants of the building and that They will not be affected if there is an earthquake in this type of system.
