ABSTRACT The objective of the present investigation was to Reduce the Environmental Impact and Fuel Consumption Expenditure in the Environmental Management Service of Trujillo (SEGAT), through the proposal of a Reverse Logistic System for Unusable Tires. The research is of an applied type, the hypothesis that the proposal of this system would reduce the environmental impact and the fuel consumption expense of the Trujillo Environmental Management Service. For the analysis of the results, raw material projections, estimation and calculation of current costs were carried out, as well as the environmental impact of the problematic situation and the economic analysis of the proposed solutions in order to observe the profitability and sustainability in the future. The respective calculations were obtained by analyzing: fuel costs, the area of the dump, the projection of unusable tires, the amount of fuel distilled by each proposal, the calculation of the number of workers for the new plant, saving and investment for each proposal, the supply time, the economic indicators of proposal 1 and 2 and the environmental impact. The proposal consisted of using a tire pyrolysis system in which three phases of products can be obtained (gaseous: pyrolytic gas, solid: coal and steel, liquid: fuel oil). The conclusions reached are: A. The environmental impact of improperly storing or disposing of unusable tires causes damage to human health and the environment, having a rating of -342.B. There is availability of unusable tires to potentially supply any of the proposals, currently only 13% of these tires generated in the locality arrive at the dump. C. The proposed system has processing capacity of 5 tons per day. D. With the application of this system is estimated a saving of S /. 1'102,866.23 per year. E. The financial indicators provided by proposal no. 02 (5 ton / day) are: NPV of S /. S /. 2'448,238.89, IRR equal to 71% and Payback of 17 months; So the proposal is economically viable. F. The environmental impact analysis was carried out, which yielded a score of -83.G. The comparison of the environmental impact with the current situation presents a reduction of 78%.Withthiswe can conclude that the system is environmentally viable. KEYWORDS: reverse logistics, cost reduction, pollutant reduction, environmental impact.
