The present research study aimed to determine the relationship between time management and academic stress in students at a university in Cajamarca, 2022. This study was carried out with a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design and cross-sectional correlational scope. The sample consisted of 66 students. The instruments used were the Time Management Beauvoir Scale by Macan et al. (1990), the Academic Stress Inventory by Barraza (2018). Hypothesis testing was performed using Spearman's Rho correlation. The results showed that there is no relationship between time management and academic stress (p.656), likewise, there is no relationship between time management and stressors (p.824), likewise, there is no relationship between symptoms (p.671) and there is no positive relationship between coping strategies and time management (p.725). The limitations focused on the lack of control due to the impossibility of face-to-face data collection. Finally, it is concluded that, although time management is considered essential to reduce academic stress, there are other factors that significantly influence the appearance of academic stress in university students.
