ABSTRACT The reason of this study lies in the importance of the service for our district, because if it is not developed optimally it affects not only the perception of the same, but the common good. This research analyzes the relationship of strategic marketing with the perceived image of Citizen Security in the district of Trujillo, through the application of a survey to people between 25 and 39 years of age who have used the service. Its objectives are: Determine the relationship between strategic marketing and the image perceived by users of the Citizen Security service of the district of Trujillo, measure the strategies of strategic marketing applied by Citizen Security, measure the image perceived by users about the service provided, and to correlate both variables (strategic marketing and the perceived image), using for the analysis the information collected in the surveys. Thanks to this tool, it was obtained that the majority of respondents have a general negative idea of the service provided that directly affects the image of the institution, however, other points could be appreciated. Finally, it is concluded that if the organization does not adequately develop strategic marketing as a tool to improve communication and service with users, there will be no relationship between what is done and what is perceived. In this way, the corporate image will be directly affected in a negative way.
