The present research has as main objective to propose a cost control system using the PMBOK to budget road infrastructure works in Lima 2022. The constant business changes in search of a competitive advantage in recent decades, have achieved an egalitarian development in technology that accelerates competitiveness among companies with access and leadership to different models of management control that does not guarantee future success. Cost management has become more important in road infrastructure works, achieving greater competitiveness among construction companies. This importance has materialized in different ways, but perhaps one of the most outstanding is its preponderant role in the development of relationships with suppliers. In these times, the new role that cost management will assume in road infrastructure companies will consist of finding strategies to generate value, manage suppliers' resources and link the company's value chains with those of its suppliers. The road infrastructure industry needs to have more options to improve its logistics management, through an adequate administration of its resources, reducing costs and the use of new generation tools, in order to substantially improve its competitive strategy in its area of action.
