The present work focused on analyzing the relationship between depression and anxiety in adult patients undergoing renal replacement therapy, for which a cross-sectional design was used, with a quantitative type of research, with correlational, comparative, and descriptive objectives. . Within this investigation, there was a population of 86 people who are receiving renal replacement therapy, for which we worked with the Hospital Scale for Depression and Anxiety (HAD) by Zigmond & Snaith (1983). In the results it was possible to find that there is a correlation between the variable depression and anxiety with a significance of .010, in terms of the descriptive objectives it can be seen that the levels of depression consisted of 76.7% for the clinical case, Likewise, it was found that 20.9% for doubtful cases and 2.3% for normal levels of depression, in terms of anxiety levels it was evidenced that 87.2% for clinical levels, thus it was also found that the 11.6% of the population presents doubtful cases of anxiety and 1.2% for normal levels of anxiety. And finally, it can be concluded by mentioning that there is a high positive correlation for the anxiety and depression variable, in addition it can be shown that there is no significance between the anxiety and depression variables with gender and the time of renal replacement therapy at which the patient is under.
