The following research work aims to determine how passive ventilation strategies condition the design of an organic solid waste treatment plant in the district of Chimbote, with the purpose of solving one of the most worrying problems of this type. of projects, poor ventilation and the accumulation of toxic gases in industrial work environments, which significantly affect the health of workforce. For this, different references and antecedents of passive ventilation were investigated, obtaining design guidelines that can be applied in an architectural way to the new project, likewise cases that allow validating the proposed guidelines were analyzed, verifying their feasibility and functionality. The present analysis contributed significantly to determine the passive ventilation strategies that were applied to the final project. In the same way, the current demand of Chimbote was studied, calculating the amount of organic solid waste to be processed, in addition to the development of the architectural program to determine the size of the land, taking into account the respective regulations. Subsequently, with the help of a land selection sheet, which details endogenous and exogenous characteristics necessary for the treatment plant, the ideal land was chosen that allowed the development of the project by applying the investigated variable, which is reflected in its form and function. Finally, the conclusion is presented, highlighting the importance of the use of passive ventilation strategies in the design of industrial projects to maintain a comfortable and healthy work environment.
