The present investigation consisted in the evaluation of the influence that eggshell ash has on the characteristics of pH, consistency limits, maximun density and CBR of a clayey subgrade soil; within the relevant considerations of the present investigation, it consisted of incinerate the eggshell at a constant temperatura of 800°C for four hours; measured by the CBR test, a process of “curing” the added with ash has been applied, which consists of keeping the sample moist and hermetically protected for a period of 72 hours ( three days). The results show that by increasing eggshell ash, the PH values were increasing, the liquid limit values decreased, the plastic limit values, therefore the plasticity value decreased; on the other hand, the máximum density values decreased while the optimun moisture content value increased; however, one of the most relevant considerations was the increase in the CBR value with 2% eggshell ash, increased up to 3 times its value in the natural state, with 4% it was obtained up to 7 times and with 6% up to 12 times its value in the natural state.
