ABSTRACT The activities and processes carried out by the El Chino production plant begin with the execution of civil works and assemblies of metal structures. In the operation of the plant, the limestone is crushed and the calcination of it to obtain the Calcium oxide and its derivatives). The generators of impacts are produced in the three stages: in the construction stage there are negative impacts due to the movement of land that mainly affects biodiversity and air quality, but at the same time it has a positive impact on the generation of employment. In the operation stage, emissions of combustion gases will be generated, industrial effluents from the air conditioning process will be recirculated, and will not significantly impact, economically, the impact will be beneficial for both personnel and the company. In the closing phase in the dismantling could affect lightly and punctually the variables of air quality and noise produced by the movements of the activity, in the economic aspect could adversely affect the region due to the failure to contribute to the region, an offer of economic activity and what is associated with this activity. The Environmental Management Plan for the El Chino production plant includes two main programs, the first of permanent programs, which are prevention and mitigation, monitoring, waste management and the training program. The second covers special programs such as the contingency program and the closing of operations. KEYWORDS: Environmental impact study, production of calcium oxide, mitigation of impacts, mining exploitation.
