The present investigation aimed to determine how the addition of 5% rice husk ash affects the physical, mechanical and dynamic properties in a hot asphalt mix with respect to an ashless mix. The Marshall test was used to obtain the resistance to deformation where 4 briquettes were used for percentages of asphalt from 5% to 8% with a variation of 0.5% and with ash amounts of 0% and 5%; for the tensile stress (TSR), the test of resistance to damage induced by humidity was used in which 10 briquettes with 0% ash and optimal asphalt content of 5.75% and another 10 briquettes with 5% ash and optimal asphalt content of 6%. The results show an increase of 4.37% in stability, 6.27% in yield, 1% in tensile force and a decrease of 3.74% in air voids, 9.88% in VMA, 1.22% in specific weight. Finally, it was determined that the asphalt mix with 5% rice husk ash has a positive influence on the physical, mechanical and dynamic properties with respect to an asphalt mix without ash.
