The quality control of Hot Asphalt Mixtures (MAC) is a procedure aimed at ensuring that the product that will form the roadway (asphalt in case of flexible paving), complies with the technical specifications that guarantee from a technical perspective, the benefits to which it will be subject when the work is delivered and the paved road begins to operate. For effects of controlling the quality of asphalt production for the Tacna-La Paz road integration project; Tacna-Collpa stretch; sub section III: Km. 146 + 180 - km. 187 + 404, in the development of the thesis we considered two variables, Quality in the production of asphalt (Dependent Variable) and Control in the laboratory and field of hot asphalt mixing for the Tacna - La Paz road integration project; section Tacna - Collpa: Sub Section III: KM 146 + 180 - km 187 + 404 (Independent Variable). For the case of the dependent variable, the study determined and analyzed the production of asphalt in the two types of plants, Terex and Barber Greene plants, which produce Hot Asphalt Mix (MAC) for the paving of the Tacna-Collpa stretch of the Tacna-La Paz highway. On the other hand, for the case of the independent variable, the control was carried out on both the asphalt produced and the applied asphalt. To control the quality of the asphalt produced, the following procedures were carried out: strip granulometric analysis, asphalt washing of the mixture, Marshall test, Rice test, Lottman test and adhesion test. On the other hand, for the control of the quality of the applied product, this was carried out in two moments, a first moment referred to the control at the moment of applying the product, in which the exit temperatures of the asphalt mixture were mainly controlled; and, another moment referred to the control carried out 24 hours after the product was applied, for which the following tests were carried out: Benkelman beam test in asphaltic folder, asphalt folder smoothness test and the test to determine the International Roughness Index ( IRI). The formulated research hypothesis is stated as: The adequate control in the laboratory and field of the MAC increases the quality in the production of asphalt in the plant for the Tacna-La Paz Road Integration Project; Tacna-Collpa stretch; sub section III: Km. 146 + 180 - km. 187 + 404 The population was conformed by the Peruvian and Bolivian side sections of the Tacna-La Paz road integration project. From these sections, the sub-section III was determined as a non-probabilistic and intentional sample: Km. 146 + 180 - km. 187 + 404, Tacna-Collpa section (Peruvian side) of the Tacna-La Paz road integration project. Methodologically, the present investigation by the method is deductive, by the type it is explanatory and of descriptive level, by the design it is experimental; prospective; longitudinal. For the purposes of processing, analysis and interpretation of results, the considerations presented by Torres (2005) were taken into account. In this regard, he points out that these processes must be carried out taking into account the problem under study, the theoretical frame of reference, the objectives formulated, and taking into account the variables and indicators resulting from the process of operationalizing the hypotheses. Finally, the results of the investigation show that the asphalt plants of the ICCGSA company assigned to the Tacna-La Paz road integration project; Tacna-Collpa stretch; sub section III: Km. 146 + 180 - km. 187 + 404, conform to the requirements of the technical specifications and comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. From the product tests, it was determined that both plants are operating under acceptable conditions, for example, the asphalt washing test of the mixture for each of the MAC-2 samples at 170ºC and 168ºC for the Barber Greene and Terex plants, respectively. The 6.64% percentage of asphalt present in the pavement was obtained for the first and 6.70% for the second. Likewise, with respect to controlling the design parameters of the asphaltic mixture applied to the surface, it was obtained that 24 hours after applying the bituminous mixture, the mixture applied complied with the technical specifications; For example, in the case of smoothness, from the tests carried out it was possible to determine that both the minimum and maximum smoothness are equal to and less than 5 mm, then the pavement meets the requirements and has no irregularities in its surface.
