Abstract: El propósito elemental del estudio estuvo enfocado en describir el nivel de ansiedad percibida en estudiantes de universidades privadas de lima metropolitana (n = 197), compuesta en un 37% (72) por varones y 63% (125) mujeres, cuyas edades oscilaron entre 18 y 30 años. Para la estructuración del estudio se utilizó un diseño no experimental, descriptivo, transversal, recolectándose la información mediante el Test de Ansiedad Manifiesta en Adultos AMAS – C (ω = .957). Dentro de los resultados observados se identificó que el 64% de encuestados reportó niveles de ansiedad entre Clínicamente significativo (29%) y Extremo (35%), reportando una prevalencia elevada para el grupo de análisis; se apreció como las dimensiones más prevalentes a la de ansiedad frente a los exámenes (64.5%) y la inquietud/hipersensibilidad (59.5%). Se concluyó que la coyuntura de la pandemia agravó la vulnerabilidad para presentar indicadores compatibles con la ansiedad.
The main purpose of the study was focused on describing the level of perceived anxiety in students from private universities in metropolitan Lima (n = 197), consisting of 37% (72) males and 63% (125) females, whose ages ranged from 18 to 30 years old. For the structuring of the study, a non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional design was used, collecting information through the Manifest Anxiety Scale for Adults AMAS - C (ω = .957). Among the results observed, it was identified that 64% of the respondents reported anxiety levels between clinically significant (29%) and extreme (35%), reporting a high prevalence for the analysis group; the most prevalent dimensions were anxiety towards exams (64.5%) and restlessness/hypersensitivity (59.5%). It was concluded that the pandemic situation exacerbated the vulnerability to present indicators compatible with anxiety.
