The objective of the study was to analyze the relationship between body composition and energy and macronutrients distribution in soccer players from the Copa Peru. A quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional approach was used, with a non-probabilistic convenience sampling that included 45 soccer players who met the inclusion criteria. Two instruments were used: a Semi-quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire and an anthropometric form to determine body composition according to ISAK protocol. Results indicated that goalkeepers had 36.8% of muscle mass (MM) and 27.6% of adipose mass (AM); defenders had 41.5% of MM and 23.7% of AM; midfielders had 38.9% of MM and 24.2% of AM; and forwards had 39.1% of MM and 27.3% of AM. The average daily intake was 3,075 Kcal, with 14.7% of protein, 20.6% of fat, and 59.4% of carbohydrates. Conclusion: There is a positive correlation between energy and macronutrient consumption with the %AM and BMI; and weak negative correlations between energy and macronutrient consumption with the %MM, with these negative correlations being very weak only for carbohydrates and proteins.
