Objective: Determine the epidemiological and cognitive profile of sexually transmitted infections in women of reproductive age who attend the Santa Luzmila II Maternal and Child Center in Comas, during the period May-July 2019. Methodology: It is a non-experimental quantitative research and presents a cross-sectional descriptive observational design. The population is made up of 270 women and the sample is 100% of the population, for which this study will give us conclusive results. Results: The epidemiological and cognitive profile of the respondents was determined in 4 variables; demographic, socioeconomic, gyneco-obstetric and cognitive. In the first variable, 40.7% are young women between 18-24 years old, 37% are university-level and 49.6% are single. Regarding the socioeconomic variable, student occupancy predominated with 31.1% and with respect to the type of floor, ceiling and number of rooms, it was established according to the APEIM that it belongs to the upper lower level. Regarding the gynecological-obstetric variable, 76.7% do not suffer from domestic violence, 64.8% affirm that they were not unfaithful to their partner; Likewise, 30.7% refer that their first menstruation was at the age of 12, 54.1% began to have sexual intercourse between 15 and 19 years, and 34.4% have not had any pregnancy. 35.2% only had 1 sexual partner and 34.1% never used a condom with their partner. Regarding the symptoms, 57.8% presented vaginal discharge more frequently and with respect to the type of germ, 27% presented candidiasis. Lastly, regarding the receipt of information, 66.3% did receive information at the school stage and 49.3% have not received information at the health facility. Conclusions: In our research regarding the sociodemographic characteristics, the young population between 18 and 24 years old, university students and single marital status predominated. Likewise, the socioeconomic level is low, superior and estudient occupation; In relation to the gynecological-obstetric history, they had their first menstruation at the age of 12 and starting their sexual life between 15 and 19 years. Most of them are nulliparous and had 1 sexual partner, the respondents denied the use of condoms, in addition to the symptoms they presented vaginal discharge and type of candidiasis germ. Finally, we identified that our population received information on transmitted infections in the school stage but not in the health establishment.
