The Invierte.pe considers the investment cycle of a project to be executed as the third cycle and includes the preparation of the technical file or equivalent document and the physical execution, so this research aims to determine the factors that increase the investment cost of road infrastructure projects, during the execution cycle from approval of the technical file to the final settlement of the project, contract modality, Cajamarca Regional Government-Headquarters, period 2012-2018. For which information has been collected on the process of execution of the works of the Sub-Management of Supervision and Liquidations; in addition to information from the computer applications Sistema Invierte.pe (formerly SNIP), SEACE and INFOBRAS. Likewise, it should be noted that the execution of public works is regulated in the State Procurement Law and its Regulations. As results, it has been found that the main factors that increase the investment cost during the execution cycle are the execution of additional works by 62.36%; compensation for land, quarries, dumps and social facilitators by 11.88%, readjustments for price updates by 5.81%, higher general expenses by 2.08%, higher metered 0.15%, administrative expenses 4.34 and a percentage of 13.38 corresponding to resolutions of contract, arbitration proceedings and impaired items considered in the work balance file.
