This study outlined the objective of describing the factors that limit the adoption of electronic commerce in SMEs of the Independencia Lima-Peru district in the first semester of 2021. This research describes the limiting factors that prevent SME entrepreneurs from choosing not to add this type of commerce in their companies, highlighting that it will serve as information for future research, providing knowledge about the variable studied. The applied methodology was of a basic type, qualitative approach, case study model, descriptive in scope, non-experimental design of transectional cut. The population was made up of a total of three representatives of SMEs that are located in the district of Independencia. The data collection technique used was the interview and the instrument applied was the semi-structured interview guide. The data analysis was based on the interpretation and categorization of the responses obtained. In conclusion, this research focuses on the limiting factors and the great importance of its implementation in the negotiations of SMEs today, providing better knowledge through the dimensions distributed by each factor, knowledge, environment, organizational and technological, for its adoption of electronic commerce in SMEs in the district of Independencia, Lima-Peru in the first half of 2021.
