The present investigation was of a basic type, with a quantitative approach and a correlational scope. The objective of this paper was to analyze the relationship between anxiety and depression in the second year of the health crisis in members of an association of retirees and the unemployed in the city of Trujillo; The Hamilton Anxiety Scale was used to measure anxiety and the Yesavage Geriatric Depression Scale to measure the depression variable. This was applied in a non-probabilistic and convenience sample of 61 older adults. The results indicated that 93.4% of the total sample had anxiety, corresponding to the fact that the majority had moderate anxiety with 36.1% of the total, regarding depression, 77% of the sample had depression, being mostly mild depression with 44.3 % of the total; the level of correlation between both variables was 0.45, which refers to a positive and moderate correlation. It was concluded that there is anxiety and depression in the sample studied, likewise, that both variables have a positive and significant relationship.
