The present investigation was carried out with the scientific objective of determining the relationship between emotional intelligence and transformational leadership in women with managerial positions at a private university in Chiclayo. The methodology was basic with a quantitative approach of a correlational level and a cross-sectional non-experimental design. The population was made up of 45 employees who work in a Private University of Chiclayo, considered finite. The exhaustive sample consisted of 45 workers with managerial positions of a Private University of Chiclayo. The technique used was the survey and two questionnaires were used as an instrument to determine the relationship between the variables. Professionals who are experts in the field validated these instruments. Likewise, the reliability of the instruments was determined through a Cronbach's alpha test, for transformational leadership α = 0.73, while for Emotional Intelligence α = 0.81, giving it an excellently reliable level. The results made it possible to identify that 93% of women in managerial positions rate their emotional intelligence positively, while only 7% rate it as regular. Therefore, it was concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence and transformational leadership in women in management positions at a private university in Chiclayo, with a reliability rate of 95%.
