In a sanitary landfill, leachate is the product of the transfer of water through solid waste and the leaching of components from solid to liquid. The objective of this research was to determine the influence of calcium hypochlorite on the physicochemical parameters of leachates from a Sanitary Landfill - La Libertad Region. The research was of an applied type of an experimental nature, which presents the manipulation of the independent variable, through this motive to obtain changes in the dependent variable of the research. The physicochemical parameters of leachates from the Sanitary Landfill were characterized before the treatment with calcium hypochlorite at the sampling point, RS-01 and after the treatment, RS-03, concluding that in two points they exceed the maximum permissible limits in four (04) physicochemical parameters, Oils and fats, BOD5, COD, Total Suspended Solids. Likewise, the physicochemical parameters of leachates from the Sanitary Landfill were characterized before the treatment with calcium hypochlorite at the sampling point, RS-02, concluding the values are within the maximum permissible limits of the six (06) physicochemical parameters, Oils and fats, Total Cyanide, Hexavalent Chromium, BOD5, COD, Total Suspended Solids.
