The objective of this research was to identify the relationship between addiction to social networks and academic stress in psychology students of the last cycles in a Private University, the study approach was quantitative, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design and with a Correlational novel, the sample was composed of 279 psychology students from the last cycles, this was determined by a non-probabilistic snowball sampling. For data collection, the short version of the social network addiction questionnaire validated by (E. Salas Blas, A. Copez- Lonzoy; & C. Merino Soto, 2020) was used; Academic Stress Inventory (SISCO) validated by (RD Alania Contreras; RA Llancari Morales1, MR de la Cruz & DI Dayan Ortega Révolo, 2020), the results determined that a highly significant correlation was obtained given that the Rho correlation coefficient of Spearman was 0.334** with a p value below the level of significance (p=0.000>0.05). Finally, it is so that students who have a greater addiction to social networks will present a higher level of academic stress.
