In the present study, the causes of staff turnover in Latin American companies will be presented. The scientific literature available in the database EBSCO, Dialnet, Google Académico, Redalyc, and Scielo, published between 2007 and 2017, was analyzed. Different approaches presented by the authors were identified low pay, job dissatisfaction, job stability, training, motivation, among others are the causes that cause staff turnover. The formula studied to calculate the turnover rate of personnel, is so that organizations can act on these and manage to reduce turnover (Chiavenato, 2001). Reason why, the present investigation raises the following question: Which are the causes that originate the rotation of the personnel in the companies of Latin America? It is from a quantitative approach, it represents a set of processes; although it also has a descriptive scope, it seeks to specify important features and traits. The results will serve to determine the main causes of staff turnover in companies in Latin America, and through the conclusions, they can take action as soon as possible to prevent staff from leaving their jobs. Among the limitations that we can observe, is that there is still more research to be done on the subject. There were also difficulties in distinguishing the approaches described in the studies, because the cases of the articles were different. In spite of them, the findings of this study should be assessed as a theoretical basis that supports the generation of new questions about the causes that cause staff turnover in companies in Latin America.
