ABSTRACT This thesis was conducted at the company Factoria Industrial S.A.C. due to its high operating costs caused by the poor Logistics inventory management and warehouse problems. This document has been prepared in order to reduce current operating costs of the company Factoria Industrial S.A.C., for it has been proposed to improve the current situation in the areas of logistics and warehouse through a proposal for improved inventory management. In order to carry out this improvement proposal, first the diagnosis of the current status of the areas of logistics and warehousing was conducted finding that the main problems that increase operating costs are: not having a classification coding materials, disorder, lack of procedures, and lack of training. In addition, it was identified that an evaluation and monitoring of suppliers which created that deliveries arrive with delays that paralyze production were not done. For the development of the proposal of improvement we used the following methodologies and tools: ABC classification, coding, 5S procedures, determination of the stock, the acquisition of an ERP, the supplier evaluation and training to the workers. These proposals of improvement will reduce by 50% the number of delays in deliveries made by suppliers, 35 % of the time of dispatched supplies from the store, 50 % of the number of dispatches delivered late to the warehouse and finally also reduced by 50 % of dispatches unattended for lack of stock. Revenues generated by the improvement proposals amounted to a total of S/. 433,307.00 In conclusion, a financial economic evaluation was performed, obtaining an NPV of S/. 184.894 And an IRR of 15.6 %, indicating that the project is PROFITABLE.
