The main objective of this research is to carry out the technical-economic evaluation of the DL10 Plus suppressor for particulate dust control on the maintenance of internal roads of Minera Yanacocha SRL. This consisted of comparing water consumption from 2016 to 2018 with the aim of demonstrating if there is a significant difference from the water consumption of 2019, especially in the dry season. Quantitative research conclusively demonstrated the economic benefits of using the DL10 Plus suppressor, as can be seen in baseline profitability analysis and cost comparison over time. The study areas consisted of two sections: PCS Active Duty Routes and OPM Active Haul Tracks. As a result, in the analysis of 2019 only during the dry season from June to September, the use of DL10 Plus suppressant achieved a 11.78% reduction in water consumption during the quarter, compared to consumption in the period 2016 - 2018. At the same time the cost of equipment operation was reduced by 37.28% (compared to 2018) reaching a total savings of $40,685.54 in dry season alone. The savings were mostly achieved in the area of PCS (Active Duty Roads). In conclusion, it is important to have an innovative technology for the control of particulate dust, an action that by effect will generate savings of operational costs and reduce water consumption; the latter of vital importance for mining by providing a positive impact on environmental management.
