The main purpose of this research work is to determine the influence of untreated water on the compressive strength of concrete in the district of Cascas; the methodology used is of applied purpose, following an experimental design, quasi-experimental post test and explanatory level. The population comprises a group of concrete specimens, of which 54 were taken as a sample made with untreated water from Cascas and another 54 with potable water from the city of Trujillo. The technique used for data collection was the experiment and for data analysis inferential statistics. Taking as a problem the lack of knowledge of the effects on the compressive strength of concrete made with untreated water, the results obtained were that its physicochemical parameters comply with NTP 339.088, its strength is 9.05 % higher than the design strength and its average strength is statistically equal to that achieved by concrete made with potable water. In conclusion, it is determined that untreated water has a favorable effect on the compressive strength of concrete measured at 28 days of curing and with f'c=210 kg/cm2.
