ABSTRACT The objective of the present investigation is to determine the geological modeling of calculation of mining resources of the bat vein of the Paredones mine; develop a methodology based on the practical results of modeling, to corroborate the geological model in the precision and accuracy of the estimation of resources in situ. The Paredones mine is currently closed and abandoned. The mining company that owns this mine has an interest in exploiting the bat vein, mainly because preliminary studies have determined high levels of mineralization. It is concluded that the elaboration of the geological model estimated through the plans in Minesight 9.5, has allowed to determine the mining resources of the bat vein. The vein has an average power of 0.60 m and expands in incremental sections (embolsonadas), to then reduce evidencing typical formations of veins of the rosary type. In level 4 the vein has a depth of 200 meters and in level 5 the depth is 500 m. The course is N 34 ° W and its dip of 73 ° N. The mining resources of level 4 and 5 of the bat vein were determined, starting from the estimation of the weighted law, giving values of 5.11% of Pb, 7.01% of Zn and 224.17 g / MT of Ag. With this data the estimation of the Pb, Zn and Ag tonnage was made in the 87 400.36 MT of mineral resource. In Pb we have 4 465.40 MT, in Zn we have 6 123.41 TM and in Ag we have 629 920.09 oz.
