Conocimiento y actitudes de la anticoncepción oral de emergencia en estudiantes de obstetricia de la Universidad Privada del Norte, 2019

Abstract

El objetivo fue determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento y actitudes sobre la anticoncepción oral de emergencia en estudiantes de obstetricia de la Univesidad Privada del Norte, 2019. En materiales y métodos, es un estudio cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo con alcance correlacional y de corte transversal. El instrumento fue un cuestionario que se aplicó en una población 155 estudiantes, estuvo compuesto por 32 preguntas; entre características sociales y demográficas; conocimiento sobre la anticonceción oral de emergencia (AOE) y actitudes sobre la AOE. Los resultados, señalaron que la población predominante son de sexo femenino 98.10% y la edad promedio esta entre los 20 y 29 años 98.70%. En el análisis del nivel de conocimiento sobre la AOE, 14.80% obtuvo conocimiento bajo, 72.30% conocimiento medio y 12.90% conocimiento alto. En el estudio de las actitudes sobre la AOE, se señaló; actitud mala 1.30%, actitud regular 32.90% y actitud buena 65.80%. Además se halló correlación directa baja entre el nivel de conocimiento y actitudes acerca la AOE. Conclusión, existe una relación baja del mismo modo directa y a su vez significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento y actitudes sobre la AOE en los estudiantes de obstetricia de VI, VII y VIII ciclo de la Universidad Privada del Norte.

The objective was to determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and attitudes about emergency oral contraception in obstetric students of the Private University of the North, 2019. In materials and methods, it is a descriptive type quantitative study with correlational scope and cross section. The instrument was a questionnaire that was applied to a population of 155 students, it was made up of 32 questions; between social and demographic characteristics; knowledge about emergency oral contraception (AOE) and attitudes about AOE. The results indicated that the predominant population is 98.10% female and the average age is between 20 and 29 years old 98.70%. In the analysis of the level of knowledge about the AOE, 14.80% obtained low knowledge, 72.30% medium knowledge and 12.90% high knowledge. In the study of attitudes about the AOE, it was noted; bad attitude 1.30%, regular attitude 32.90% and good attitude 65.80%. In addition, a low direct correlation was found between the level of knowledge and attitudes about the AOE. Conclusion, there is a similarly direct and in turn significant low relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes about AOE in obstetrics students of VI, VII and VIII cycle of the Private University of North.
