Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and actitudes about HPV in secondary school adolescents from an Educational Institution of Puente Piedra. Methodology: The design is basic, not experimental, transversal and correlational. We applied two types of questionnaires that were validated by expert judgments and pilot test was carried out in a sample of 315 students. Statistical analysis was performed with the SPSS-25 program, descriptive analysis, normality test and inferential analysis. Results: The average age was 14 to 16 years 78,4% and the predominant sex was male 51,4%. The general knowledge level 65.7% average knowledge, 20,6% low knowledge and 13,7% high knowledge, with respect to the dimensions of concept, mode of transmission, diagnosis and prevention was 68%, 58%, 34,75 % and 50,75% respectively. When analyzing preventive attitudes of HPV 76,2% neutral attitude, 22,9% positive attitude and 1% negative attitude, with respect to the dimension of the cognitive, affective and behavioral component was 69,65%, 66,65% and 72,15% respectively. In relation to the correlation of the dimensions of concept, mode of transmission, diagnosis and preventive between the attitude presents a direct, low and significant correlation. Conclusion: There is a direct and significant relationship between both variables towards HPV, which indicates that as the knowledge increases the attitude is positive.
