The objective of this research is to carry out an experimental evaluation of the cost coefficients used in thin-walled, semicircular, parabolic, trapezoidal and sutro weirs to carry out gauging in rectangular channels. The type of research was quantitative, applied, descriptive and non-experimental. Likewise, the population is the investigated landfills and the sample is the landfills evaluated in the rectangular channel; semicircular, parabolic, trapezoidal and sutro. With the use of the laboratories of the UPN Los Olivos Headquarters, the flow coefficients of each spillway design could be found both physically and mathematically with the help of the calibrated triangular spillway of 53° 7', the flows to be used were 3.32 l/s, 4.10 l/s, 5.38 l/s, 6.25 l/s, 7.54 l/s and 8.21 l/s; To each general formula of the weirs evaluated in the rectangular channel, a cost coefficient was added where the manual arrangement is made, oscillating at a value between 0 to 1. Subsequently, in each calibration curve, it was determined that, the greater the flow, the greater the the height of the water. And as a final conclusion, the experimental evaluation of the expense coefficients used in thin-walled landfills was achieved, in addition to graphing their calibration curves and verifying their formulas both physically and manually.
