Control de inventarios en la empresa KMT EIRL, del distrito de Villa El Salvador, periodo 2020

Abstract

Para las empresas es relevante el control de inventarios ya que generalmente presentan inconvenientes y fallas en ello. Por tal motivo el presente estudio tuvo como objetivo principal, describir el control de inventarios en la empresa KMT EIRL, del distrito de Villa El Salvador, periodo 2020. Para ello, se dio a conocer la situación actual en cuanto al sistema de control de inventario, los mecanismos de medición y las técnicas de control en uso. Metodológicamente se planteó un enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo, diseño no experimental de corte transversal. A tal fin, se trabajó con la población y muestra compuesta por 12 colaboradores pertenecientes al área de administración, logística, compras, ventas, finanzas y contabilidad de dicha empresa. Como resultado se obtuvo un nivel de eficiencia medio, cuyo personal requiere ser capacitado para desempeñar adecuadamente su función de control de inventarios. También se evidenció que no tienen un mecanismo adecuado de control en el manejo de las existencias pero que utiliza técnicas combinadas entre cantidad económica de pedido (EOQ) y la matriz ABC; las cuales finalmente no se ajustan a las necesidades de la empresa. Se concluye que es necesario implementar un mecanismo efectivo de medición y control de inventarios para optimizarlo.

Inventory control is relevant for companies, as they generally have drawbacks and failures in them. For this reason, the main objective of this study was to describe the inventory control in the company KMT EIRL, in the district of Villa El Salvador, period 2020. For this, its situation regarding the current inventory control system was disclosed, the measurement mechanisms and control techniques in use. Methodologically, it was proposed with a quantitative approach, descriptive level, non-experimental cross-sectional design. To this end, we worked with the population and a sample made up of 12 collaborators belonging to the administration, logistics, purchasing, sales, finance and accounting areas of said company. As a result, a medium level of efficiency was obtained, whose personnel requires training to adequately perform their inventory control function. It was also evidenced that they do not have an adequate control mechanism in the management of stocks but that they use techniques combined between the economic order quantity (EOQ) and the ABC matrix, which ultimately do not fit the needs of the company. It is concluded that it is necessary to implement an effective inventory measurement and control mechanism to optimize it.
