The El Niño Phenomenon is a climatic event that takes place in Peru, whose variable impact affects the different sectors of the country, one of them being fishing. The anchoveta, a marine species representative of the sector that is used for the production of fishmeal and fish oil, modifies its behavior when an El Niño event occurs moving from north to south, a fact that harms its capture and that is finally reflected in the export thereof. In the same way, there are also more species whose behavior and development are impaired. However, some authors affirm that the impact of the El Niño Phenomenon favors favorable conditions for some species such as fan shells. From this arises the interest of the realization of the present investigation. The present work is a correlational - descriptive study whose main objective is to determine the influence of the El Niño Phenomenon in the export of fan shells in the fishing district of Samanco - Ancash in the period 2015 - 2017. The results of the research were obtained from Through interviews with experts and documentary analysis of the historical records of previous El Niño events and the productive capacity of the mollusk in recent years. The results demonstrate and allow us to conclude that the impact of the El Niño Phenomenon favors favorable scenarios for fan shells, demonstrating the influence of the event on mollusc export.
