The investigation was carried out at the Mining Company Gold Fields S.A - Cajamarca, dedicated to the exploitation and concentration of copper and gold. In the present investigation the objective has been: To determine how the improvement of the grinding process increases the productivity of the SAG mill at Mining Gold Fields - Cerro Corona, presenting problems in productivity due to unscheduled stops. Research according to its variable manipulation is pre-experimental, according to the nature of the data it is quantitative and according to its purpose it is basic. The study population was all the mineral grinding processes at Mining Gold Fields - Cerro Corona and the sample was the mineral grinding process at SAG mill at Mining Gold Fields - Cerro Corona. Arriving at the main result, an improvement in productivity of 91% was obtained, reflected in an increase in Cu of 5,180.87 tons per year, which is equivalent to approximately 2.54%. Reaching the main conclusions: The Milling Process and Productivity of the company Gold Fields - Cerro Corona were evaluated and that after the proposed proposal, an increase in productivity of 1,295.22 Tons of Cu per quarter was obtained on average and that was evaluated economically, the proposal for improvement in the grinding process (SAG mill) and when analysing the results, was obtained a profit of US $ 22,451,294.8 dollars a year.
