The systematic review carried out in this study aims to gather information regarding the application of the Lean Manufacturing philosophy in manufacturing companies in the ceramic sector for waste reduction. It is considered valid for no more than 10 years (2009-2019). The methodology of this systematic review with the search of 96 articles which were filtered by the PRISMA guide to make the final selection of 20 articles with the keywords: Lean Manufacturing, waste reduction, ceramics. In conclusion, the resulting database was obtained: 25% are extracted from the Scielo page, 20% Redalyc and 15% from Researchgate. The type of study was that 60% are of the applied type with a quantitative approach, 20% are of the descriptive type, 15% are of the pre-experimental type and 5% of the descriptive type. The period of validity is that 25% of the articles correspond to the year 2013, 15% for the year 2010 as well as for the year 2015. The countries of origin were 60% of India, in the same proportion 10% countries like Chile, Poland, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia.
