Concrete admixtures are chemical substances that are inputs that act chemically in contact with cement in the modification of some properties of cement, such as short-term compressive strength, increase workability, reduce water proportions, adjust setting time, reduce segregation, improve pumpability, among others, which can be adapted in different contexts and climates according to the work to be done. This research seeks to determine the influence of agro-industrial urea in hydraulic cement as a setting accelerating additive, with the aim of accelerating the initial setting time and achieving maximum strength in less time. On the other hand, we have our object of study which is the agro-industrial urea CO(NH2)2 which is a nitrogenous, colourless and hydroscopic substance of organic origin not dangerous also called carbonic acid of diamide; this is produced by many living beings for the elimination of ammonia from organisms, it is related to a slight characteristic odour of ammonia and the main use of urea is as fertilizer. Therefore, the normal consistency test was performed, then the vicat needle test was performed and finally the compression test with cubes was performed; the samples were taken from the following combinations: hydraulic concrete, hydraulic concrete and a chemical additive (CHEMA 3), hydraulic concrete and agro-industrial urea; this in order to determine the ideal amount of water for each additive applied to the tests already mentioned, having a point of comparison on the urea and the performance to be applied in the field, thus having reliable results.
