The general objective of this work is to carry out the proposal for the improvement of a quality management system to reduce the percentage of losses in the classification and cutting process of fresh green asparagus in the company Compositan Alto Agricultural Association. First of all, a diagnosis was made of the current situation of the company Compositan Alto Agricultural Association for each area of study. Selecting the area of Quality Assurance since it was diagnosed that it was the most critical in the company, due to the high percentage of shrinkage entering the plant. Once the stage of identifying the problems had been completed, the company's diagnosis was drawn up, taking into account all the problems that had been identified in order to demonstrate the above. Calculations were also made to determine the economic impact on the company of these problems, represented by monetary losses. The improvement proposal to be designed contains documentation of procedures, evaluation and selection procedures, technical specification formats that allow the control of fresh green asparagus waste. Finally, an economic evaluation was made, showing a NPV of S/. 198, 258.79, an IRR of 92.83% and a NPV of 3.1. This concludes that the proposal is profitable for the company.
