The purpose of this research was to demonstrate the influence of motivation on the work performance of the business advisors of the company Mibanco, Viru agency, 2017. In this way, to demonstrate if the motivation of business advisors influences the performance of their daily tasks. The research has a methodology based mainly on non-experimental research, of the correlational type and the design was transversal, because the data was collected in a single moment, aiming to describe two variables and analyze their relationship between both. This thesis has as sample population the 20 business advisors, in which a survey on motivation and work performance was applied, to measure the reliability of our evaluation instrument we used the SPSS program through Cronbach's alpha, which yielded 0.771 (Motivation) and 0.825 (Performance). According to the results, the instrument presents Highly Significant Internal Reliability. The results obtained were tabulated and analyzed by means of a graph analysis with their respective description. For this, the method of data analysis of the Chi square test was used, according to the results obtained it was possible to demonstrate that there is a relationship between motivation and work performance of the business advisors of the company Mibanco, Viru agency. This is demonstrated by Pearson's correlation coefficient (0.699), which expresses a significant relationship between the variables Motivation and Work performance, and is a directly proportional correlation, since to a greater presence of motivation, better work performance and less presence of motivation lower job performance. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted that “motivation significantly influences the work performance of business advisors of the company Mibanco, Agency Virú 2017“.
